A food view of Atlanta

These photos portray a different angle to the past week spent in Atlanta at a library conference. Although it may seem like I overindulged, the reality is that I skipped several meals for various reasons, with no harm done. The meals provided as part of the conference itself were really good, I thought, but I was too busy to take any photos of them.

Every one of the meals shown below was incredible and made even better because they were eaten in the company of friends. The salmon BLT was pretty much the best BLT I have ever tasted. The scallops were perfectly cooked and accompanied by escargot and some other appetizers. That sushi? Well, let’s just say that I did overindulge there since it was a large buffet of at least twenty different types, and I had my first poke there as well. The salad from Southern Art was amazing — I had never tasted burrata before, and I also had another thing called “jar board and toast” which included little jars of pimento cheese with bacon jam, along with duck rillette. Sooo good.
